A lovely afternoon at the theatre
Yesterday I went to the pay what you can matinee of the Drawer Boy at Theatre Passe Muraille, while mom and dad watched the babe. It was a lovely afternoon. Strangely, I'm about the only person left on the planet who hasn't seen this 10 year old play. I was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's set very near my home (Goderich) in Clinton, ON, a small town in southwestern ontario. I loved the play and felt really transported by the afternoon at the theatre, by myself entirely for a change. I can't think of the last time that I enjoyed an afternoon at the theatre that much. Perhaps I'm less cynical about theatre when I'm not involved in it or currently making it.
